Java’s are different from wax fabrics for the reason that no wax is used. This means that for the Java designs, very fine and detailed motifs are possible in multiple, original and varying colour ways. Colours are traditionally vivid and rich, which creates vibrant, colourful fabrics with beautiful special effects.
Java fabrics carry up to nine different colours, which are traditionally vivid in style and enriched by the special sheen and soft surface of the fabric. The process of creating Java fabrics is characterized by their precision. By applying high pressure on engraved and punctured screens and rollers, the ink and dye are rigorously pressed on to the fabrics, enabling the smallest details to be printed.
